Putin has claimed that the Russian people have voted by a landslide to allow him to seek 2 more terms.

Election officials in #Russia say voters have approved amendments to the country’s constitution that will allow President Vladimir Putin (should the people vote for him) to stay in power until 2036.

This man has strong armed his way into power and held on to it through fake elections and fear mongering using tactics learned from his time with the KGB when Russia was still known as U.S.S.R . This most recent election that allegedly has been popular with the Russian people involved week-long balloting and was tarnished by widespread reports of pressure on voters and other irregularities.

People being threatened, pressured, fear-mongered, and dying under mysterious circumstances is nothing new in Russia, especially under the #Putin regime. He has not only been the puppet master of the government in Russia, but has also stuck his nose and fingers in other countries, including the USA by trying to influence elections. His goal is to find people that idolize or sympathize with his strongman ways, such as America's own President #Trump, a well know crony/puppet of Putin.

McGrath wins Kentucky Dem primary; McConnell showdown awaits

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Former Marine pilot Amy McGrath overcame a bumpier-than-expected Kentucky primary to win the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination Tuesday, fending off progressive Charles Booker to set up a bruising, big-spending showdown with Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Voting ended June 23, but it took a week until McGrath could be declared the winner due to the race’s tight margins and a deluge of mail-in ballots. The outcome seemed a certainty early in the campaign but became tenuous as Booker’s profile surged as the Black state lawmaker highlighted protests against the deaths of African Americans in encounters with police.

Why We Need Better Than POLITICS As Usual?

By Richard Brody  |   Submitted On June 26, 2020

We should have been prepared, when, then - candidate, Donald Trump, resorted to the campaign slogan, Make America Great Again! That reference to the so - called, Good Old Days, and, the inference, this nation, was no longer great, indicated a lack - of - vision, and, instead of looking ahead, with relevant, sustainable solutions, and a willingness to accept, good - enough! If, we continue to elect politicians, who resort to a combination of populism, empty promises, and rhetoric/ vitriol, when what's needed, is thinking, outside - the - box, with an open - mind, the future of this country, may be, in - peril! What we need, is far better, than, mere, POLITICS as usual, if, we hope, to become the best, we possibly can, and truly, serve the needs, goals, priorities, perceptions, and best - interests, of all our citizens, and the potential, future challenges! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is significant.

Why We Need SMARTER Public Leadership!

{{text}}

By Richard Brody  |   Submitted On June 23, 2020

Many hands touching in center

How often, have we thought, we need SMARTER public leaders, who are ready, willing, and able to effectively plan, and prepare, to improve and enhance the greater good? Time, after time, someone says, that doesn't make much common sense, without realizing it is, perhaps, one of the rarest human characteristics/ traits! Because of the nature of our political system, few, seem to have the inner fortitude, and strength, to put the best interests of those, they serve and represent, ahead of their own, personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self - interest! When, seeking smarter leadership, it includes, not only, the aptitude, and skill - set, needed, and necessary, but the right combination of experience, and expertise, to proceed, in a prepared way, with better judgment, and, hopefully, wisdom. With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it matters.

1. Sane; sustainable; stronger/ strengths; service; solutions: Have you ever wondered, why, so many elected officials, seem to proceed, with little, relevant, sanity? They often, put populist politics, and short - term, fixes, ahead of the common good, and care planning, to implement the finest strategy, which is both, relevant, and sustainable? Instead of proceeding, to make us stronger, too few, discover the strengths, to build - upon, in order to provide quality service, and viable solutions, instead of empty rhetoric!

The Runaway Trump Train

The runaway Trump train has not only let Trump trample the American Constitution but has also skidded onto foreign rails. That could not have happened without a groundwork laid by Russia.

Newspaper Image of Trump with Mouth Removed and Coronavirus Title

Trump began his run for the US Presidency as a social renegade. He descended the glitzy escalators of his gaudy tower by labeling Mexicans he didn't like as rapists and drug runners. He fought his way to the Republican nomination by trashing and mocking his opponents. With outside help he won the prize and his track record of nastiness has gained speed as the law proved no check on his quest for personal gain with the mighty powers of his position.

American forefathers could not foresee a conman like Trump heading the country but even so they set up a system of checks and balances among three branches for the government. One made the law, another put it into practice and a third mediated in the case of conflict. That in itself was foresight from white men to whom "all men" referred to white male landowners. Laws since then have clarified the intent. New laws will have to clarify further after Donald Trump.

Trump is the first American President to defy the Constitutional norma. He has done this by exploiting a supersonic world. He has made a Tweet carry the weight of a Presidential decree, thus throwing out the cumbersome process that distilled the national position both at home and abroad. He has remade the Presidential seat of power into that of Trump. creating an enabling base for unchecked decrees to outlying train depots the world over.
