Dumb Don Trump vs. Angry Adolf Hitler – 1 Dictator and 1 Feeble Wannabe – A Comparison

This piece is an examination of the parallels of the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and America’s 45th president Donald J. Trump.  This piece is an opinion piece and you are welcome to disagree with anything that is written, although that will not change the fact that it’s not hard to see how alike these two leaders are.

Hitler and Trump stylized side by side
Hitler and Trump - More alike than different.
HitlerTrump
1)      Had an abusive authoritarian father.1)      Had an abusive authoritarian father.
2)      Hitler fled to Munich after dodging mandatory military service.2)      Trump used bones spurs as an excuse to dodge the Vietnam War draft.
3)      Hitler was a German Nationalist.3)      Trump is also a nationalist; this is much different than being patriotic.
4)      Hitler was a fiery speaker and was willing to risk the humiliation of low turnout by organizing rallies in large spaces.4)      Trump is a blowhard who repeats himself and can barely form a sentence and lies about low turnout at his rallies that he books in large spaces.
5)      Hitler was thought of as a cold person and not an interesting conversationalist in one-on-one encounters.  (Schleunes, 1970)5)      Trump is a pathological liar and a horrible conversationalist.  Trump has averaged 23.3 lies per day as of May 5, 2020.  (Markowitz, 2020)
6)      When Hitler achieved fame, he was able to hide his distasteful personality with media images of a cultured gentleman beloved by children and animals.  (Schleunes, 1970)6)      Trump tries to use media to attack those that disagree with him in anyway, calling legitimate news fake, name calling, and other childish tactics to pander to his shrinking base.
7)      Hitler sponged off his mother.7)      Trump sponged off his father.
8)      Hitler failed to win admission to art school.8)      Trump paid a proxy to take his SAT.  (Mary Trump, 2020)
9)      Hitler was dull, until he had an audience and then his personality flipped, and he could milk and audience and shape it to get it to feel.  This gave him the roots so flourish in the early Nazi Party, the chaos and resentment of the time were the soil that made his growth possible.  (Schleunes, 1970)9)      Trump talks in circles, like a typical conman, but can milk his base and light a fire under those that follow his vitriol and narcissistic rhetoric.  This parallels what Hitler did using chaos and resentment to try to circumvent the Constitution.  The seeds have already been planted for something akin to the Nazi Party to develop.
10)   Hitler used conspiracy theories to spin the situation and start blaming the Jewish People for Germany’s war loss.10)   Trump spins conspiracy theories and uses racism to pander to his base.  He blames immigrants and people of color for the need to “make America great again”.
11)   Hitler used mass media and economic depression to find widespread acceptance.11)   Trump uses mass media and social media to spread vitriol, lies, and racist remarks, again pandering to his base.
12)   Hitler lost a 1932 election but was later named chancellor after President Paul von Hindenburg caved to outside pressure.12)   Trump has struggled in popularity and is falling behind in the polls due to his inaction on the coronavirus pandemic as well as his use of strongarm tactics against peaceful protestors. Most of the GOP still follows him blindly at this point.
13)   In 1933 after the Reichstag building was set on fire by what Hitler called communist agitators (rioters).  Hitler used this as a pretext to seize emergency powers.13)   Trump is saying that if he doesn’t win the 2020 election that it is rigged, and he may not accept the results.  He could use this as a pretext to attempt to seize emergency powers and stay in office.
14)   Hitler uses these powers to create the Enabling Act which allowed his cabinet to enact legislation without parliamentary consent.14)   Trump tries to circumvent the legislative process through executive orders, court litigation, and using executive privilege to keep people from talking.
15)   Hitler used media to come across as a cultured gentleman, while forcing his way to dictatorship.15)   Trump uses media to pander to his base and come across as someone who is an expert on everything from rockets to medical techniques.
16)   Hitler created the Geheime Staatspolizei (Secret State Police), abbreviated Gestapo, to enforce Nazi extermination of dissidents.16)   Trump uses homeland security as his “secret police” against citizens of the United States against the will of local government officials.
17)   Hitler and the Nazis used the slogan “Lügenpresse” which translates as lying press or fake news in English to discredit the media.17)   Trump tries to discredit the media by calling them fake news, which is “Lügenpresse” in German.
18)   Hitler used Leonardo Conti, Reich Health Leader to kill many Germans who were of “unsound mind”.18)   Trump silences or publicly ridicules health officials and experts, including Anthony Fauci, during the coronavirus pandemic.
19)   Hitler jailed or killed those who opposed him and his Nazi regime.19)   Trump pardons and commutes sentences for those that break the law and that he feels are loyal to him.  He tries to discredit those that are he considers disloyal.
20)   Hitler created a war, lost, and committed suicide like a coward.20)   To be determined…

News 1st: Expert Fauci vs Insane Trump as Effort to Discredit Fauci Backfires

Dr. Fauci was appointed director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in 1984.

He oversees an extensive portfolio of basic and applied research to prevent, diagnose, and treat established infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections, diarrheal diseases, tuberculosis, and malaria as well as emerging diseases such as Ebola, Zika, and most recently the #Coronavirus.  (NIAID, 2020)

Fauci is America’s top expert of infectious diseases and one of the top experts worldwide.  Yet somehow, Trump seems to think he knows better and has tried to discredit Dr. #Fauci for nothing less than political reasons.  Dr. Fauci has recently been noted in a recent interview with The Atlantic as calling the president’s behavior bizarre; he has also said that not only is it a poor reflection of the president, but he also noted that this will only hurt Trump.

Trump thinks that anything he says become truth, as do some of his staunchest followers.  He however is not God, a magician, or anything of the sort and does not dictate reality.  The entire country should sue him when he is out of office for misconduct and needlessly putting American lives at risk.

Putin lies and attempts to take control of Russia for another 16 years against people’s wishes

Putin has claimed that the Russian people have voted by a landslide to allow him to seek 2 more terms.

Election officials in #Russia say voters have approved amendments to the country’s constitution that will allow President Vladimir Putin (should the people vote for him) to stay in power until 2036.

This man has strong armed his way into power and held on to it through fake elections and fear mongering using tactics learned from his time with the KGB when Russia was still known as U.S.S.R . This most recent election that allegedly has been popular with the Russian people involved week-long balloting and was tarnished by widespread reports of pressure on voters and other irregularities.

People being threatened, pressured, fear-mongered, and dying under mysterious circumstances is nothing new in Russia, especially under the #Putin regime. He has not only been the puppet master of the government in Russia, but has also stuck his nose and fingers in other countries, including the USA by trying to influence elections. His goal is to find people that idolize or sympathize with his strongman ways, such as America's own President #Trump, a well know crony/puppet of Putin.

McGrath wins Kentucky Dem primary; McConnell showdown awaits

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Former Marine pilot Amy McGrath overcame a bumpier-than-expected Kentucky primary to win the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination Tuesday, fending off progressive Charles Booker to set up a bruising, big-spending showdown with Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Voting ended June 23, but it took a week until McGrath could be declared the winner due to the race’s tight margins and a deluge of mail-in ballots. The outcome seemed a certainty early in the campaign but became tenuous as Booker’s profile surged as the Black state lawmaker highlighted protests against the deaths of African Americans in encounters with police.

Why We Need Better Than POLITICS As Usual?

By Richard Brody  |   Submitted On June 26, 2020

We should have been prepared, when, then - candidate, Donald Trump, resorted to the campaign slogan, Make America Great Again! That reference to the so - called, Good Old Days, and, the inference, this nation, was no longer great, indicated a lack - of - vision, and, instead of looking ahead, with relevant, sustainable solutions, and a willingness to accept, good - enough! If, we continue to elect politicians, who resort to a combination of populism, empty promises, and rhetoric/ vitriol, when what's needed, is thinking, outside - the - box, with an open - mind, the future of this country, may be, in - peril! What we need, is far better, than, mere, POLITICS as usual, if, we hope, to become the best, we possibly can, and truly, serve the needs, goals, priorities, perceptions, and best - interests, of all our citizens, and the potential, future challenges! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is significant.

Why We Need SMARTER Public Leadership!

{{text}}

By Richard Brody  |   Submitted On June 23, 2020

Many hands touching in center

How often, have we thought, we need SMARTER public leaders, who are ready, willing, and able to effectively plan, and prepare, to improve and enhance the greater good? Time, after time, someone says, that doesn't make much common sense, without realizing it is, perhaps, one of the rarest human characteristics/ traits! Because of the nature of our political system, few, seem to have the inner fortitude, and strength, to put the best interests of those, they serve and represent, ahead of their own, personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self - interest! When, seeking smarter leadership, it includes, not only, the aptitude, and skill - set, needed, and necessary, but the right combination of experience, and expertise, to proceed, in a prepared way, with better judgment, and, hopefully, wisdom. With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it matters.

1. Sane; sustainable; stronger/ strengths; service; solutions: Have you ever wondered, why, so many elected officials, seem to proceed, with little, relevant, sanity? They often, put populist politics, and short - term, fixes, ahead of the common good, and care planning, to implement the finest strategy, which is both, relevant, and sustainable? Instead of proceeding, to make us stronger, too few, discover the strengths, to build - upon, in order to provide quality service, and viable solutions, instead of empty rhetoric!
