Christy Martin, the women’s Super Welterweight Boxing Champ, is taking a shot at the California State Athletic Commission, claiming the organization is sexist and she lost what would have been her 50th victory as a result.
Christy fought Dakota Stone last June at the Staples Center in L.A. Christie was ahead in points with 51 seconds left in the fight, when the referee stopped the fight and gave the victory to Stone.
The ref felt Christy couldn’t continue because her hand was injured, but Christy’s lawyer, Gloria Allred doesn’t see it that way. Gloria claims all Christy did was “momentarily wince,” and she wanted to continue, and the decision to stop the bout is “an unfair and sexist double standard” — i.e., a ref would never have stopped a fight under the same circumstances if the boxers were male.
It’s kind of ironic — last November, Christy’s then husband allegedly tried to murder her by stabbing her, shooting her and pistol whipping her, yet the ref stopped the bout over what Gloria says was a wimpy hand injury.
Gloria and Christy will hold a news conference on Monday at 9:30 AM PT in the Ronald Reagan State Building in L.A. to take on the Athletic Commission.
We’ll be livestreaming the news conference.

“Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada decided she’s finally ready to move past her topless photo scandal … and has dropped her lawsuit against the woman she suspects of leaking the racy pics.
TMZ broke the story … Lozada sued a wannabe castmember named Vanessa Davis
back in 2010 — claiming Davis was bitter when producers decided not to bring her on the show … and retaliated by hacking into Lozada’s email, stealing nude pics of Evelyn … and leaking them online.
Sources connected to the case tell us … Evelyn’s lawyers searched high and low for Davis to serve her with the lawsuit — but couldn’t track her down. We’re told Evelyn got sick of wasting time, energy and money … and ultimately decided to drop the case altogether.
For her part, Davis tells TMZ, “Evelyn’s lawsuit had no merit. I am really happy that her tainted name is no longer attached to mine.”

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the new GF also complained that someone had vandalized the outside of her apartment by writing various messages … including “This girl sucks d**ks for free” and “This girl is a f**king c**t.”
Norman was booked on the misdemeanor charge of making obscene or threatening phone calls … and we’re told Norman may eventually be hit with a vandalism charge as well.
Norman was released from custody just a few hours later. A call to Norman’s rep has not been returned.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department finds it interesting that The Game says he wasn’t the one who Tweeted out their phone number to over 500,000 people — but their investigation into the matter isn’t over.
As TMZ first reported, The Game says it was his friend who gave out the number to the Compton Sheriff’s Station … telling people to call it if they wanted an internship … and causing them to be overrun with calls.
But Capt. Mike Parker tells TMZ that doesn’t close this case just yet. He tells us, “We find the rapper’s alleged comments in news media reports and on Twitter interesting and relevant, including who he says is actually responsible.
Capt. Parker wants Game to contact the Sheriff’s Department so they can sort this all out. Until then, Capt. Parker says, “The investigation continues.”
