Florida Attorney General / Gubernatorial Candidate Bill McCollum Acts as though Florida is a separate Country!

Yes, we know that the 10th Amendment says “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Yes US states have their own rights, when it is not opposing Federal laws, mandates, and such, we know that too.

First of all, what does sovereign mean?

Sovereign is defined as autonomous: (of political bodies) not controlled by outside forces; ” for example an autonomous judiciary”; “a sovereign state”.

What caught me, was on an interview I was watching with Bill McCollum, in regards to the new Health Care Plan, he made a comment, saying that the government must recognize the sovereignty of his state, and that the power grabbing administration needs to back down. Well, there is the problem, you are technically not a sovereign state as that would make you a country, which you are not.   The USA is not the Union of America, it is the United States of America, a unified country.   If you want to be a sovereign state in the sense that you used the word then it’s time to apply to secede from the United States.

But don’t forget, there goes your US Dollar, there goes your military protection, there goes your federal aid, foreign trade agreements, and a whole slew of other things.

People like Bill McCollum, and others (mostly Republicans) are going to be the death of our great country.   I get so tired of the GOP, they know so much, yet all they really are is a whiny bunch of old men who want everything to stay the same, money in their pockets and their thumb of oppression pushing down on anyone who doesn’t help line their pockets.

Maybe it is time for a new party, how about the US Party, a party that is for every American, a party that stands for the USA as a country, not for any one type of view.  A party that is active.

BTW, too all the states using the 10th Amendment to try to be power mongers, don’t forget that the text reads:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

So what happens when the people get tired of the power grabbers that are running the states, and start pushing for their individual sovereignty?  You are claiming these rights under the power of the constitution, so the voters, your citizens could also use this same argument to oppose your laws, mandates, etc….

Hold America together people, it is time to elect a “CAREER AMERICAN”, not a “CAREER POLITICIAN”!!!!
