Ricky Martin is Gay, and he admits it!

After years of speculation over his sexual orientation, Ricky Martin has come out of the closet in a posting on his official website (via TMZ). In a lengthy note to his fans published in Spanish and English, Martin says writing his memoirs got him “very close to my truth” and that hiding his sexuality any longer would “indirectly diminish the glow that my kids here born with,” referring to his twin sons, who were born in 2008 to a surrogate mother.

“These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed,” he writes, addressing inevitable questions about why he didn’t reveal his sexuality earlier.

Ruffa Gutierrez Holds No Regrets for Her Move to TV5

Ruffa says, "I’m very happy. I really saw how hard the production works for this event. I mean, the foods, the drinks, the giveaways—they are giving a new car—the stage, the presentation… I must really congratulate the people behind TV5 for coming out and spearheading this huge event."

Will this hurt her career? Does anyone care? We will just have to keep our eyes open and watch as it unfolds.

What is TV5?

The Associated Broadcasting Company (TV5) is a television network in the Philippines, with main broadcast facilities and transmitter located at 762 Quirino Highway, San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City. It is the fourth-oldest television network in the country and owned by MediaQuest Holdings Inc., which is a subsidiary of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company headed by businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan.
How will TV5 fair in today’s market? Does PLDT have enough knowledge when it comes to producing actual media to grab some of the market share already stretched between GMA 7 and ABS-CBN?
We tried to get on their site on the web, which is broke (like half the websites here), at this time.  Maybe they are paying the same people that make Globe Telecom’s site, lol.  Joke lang, but really, every time you visit Globe’s site there is inevitably a link (or 2 or 5 or 10) that you want to visit that takes you to page not found, diba?!?

Maybe her brothers will follow her and make room for some real new talent?!?  On another note, make sure to tune in 2mro for Party Pilipinas!  Looks like it is going to be a fun replacement for SOP!
