GMA Network spices up your Thursday nights with an outrageously funny and irresistibly hot episode of SRO Cinemaserye. Roll off your seats with non-stop laughter as the humor gets naughty and playful in “Hot Mama”.

Beginning March 11, this four-part episode is top billed by seasoned comedienne Eugene Domingo together with her gorgeous leading man Wendell Ramos. Under the helm of award-winning director Joel Lamangan, rounding up the cast are Maureene Larrazabal, Victor Aliwalas, Ces Quesada, Joseph Smisek, and Janna Dominguez.

Eugene plays the role of Dr. Lola Cardenas, an alluring psychiatrist/sex therapist populary known as Hot Mama. She hosts a late night radio program where she gives sex and relationship advice to callers who ask questions about love and intimacy.

Lola displays a very liberal and open-minded personality as Hot Mama but unknown to many, she’s an old maid who leads a simple and carefree life. Despite being an expert sex therapist, Lola doesn’t have a sparking sex life and worse, she hasn’t found her Mr. Right yet.

Hot Mama is single, lonely and desperate for love. She soon finds herself obsessed with Bruce, her executive producer/friend. But… he is already in love with her cousin/manager Mari.

Devastated for being loveless, Hot Mama focuses her attention on her career and gets herself busy in using the social networking site Facebook. Here, she meets Randy, on of her avid fans from Cebu.

Lola is intrigued with Randy and after a while, a special friendship develops between them.

Randy is extremely excited to finally se her in person. But Hot Mama doesn’t want him to meet the real Lola. She is not confident that people would accept her as plain Lola.

What will Hot Mama do if Randy shows up to meet her? Will Randy accept the real identity of Hot Mama? Will the two lovers become the perfect sweethearts?

Hot Mama’s amusing storyline and talented cast is set to tickle the hearts of viewers every Thursday night beginning March 11 right after Queen Seon Deok on GMA Telebabad.

SRO Cinemaserye makes this season of hearts truly special through a Valentine presentation extraordinarily dedicated for the whole family. Celebrate all forms of love with the heartwarming episode, Meet the Fathers.

Beginning February 11th, the four-part episode of Meet the Fathers features the inspiring, poignant, and comical story of the intertwined lives of two fathers whose only wish is for the best for their daughter.

This SRO Valentine episode is headlined by Mr. Christopher de Leon as Larry, a business magnate who gets in touch with Rigor (Bayani Agabayani), a philanthropist in Bohol.

Larry makes a deal with Rigor that he will support his “place for unwed mothers”, but only if he goes to Manila to meet up with him personally. Rigor gives in to his request but soon learns of Larry’s trickery.

Despite this discovery, he is forced to stay and finally grants Larry’s final demand. He must attend the wedding engagement party of his daughter Cheska (Ynna Asistio).

During the party, Rigor gets the surprise of his life when Larry introduces his wife Christy (Angel Jacob), who happens to be his one and only great love. His suspicions grows even stronger when he finds out that Cheska is not Larry’s real daughter. Rigor is convinced that he is Cheska’s biological father.

Christy however, confronts Larry since she knows this is just one of his crafty schemes. But he insists it is just a twist of fate that allowed the four of them to be together.

Their unexpected reunion perhaps is a blessing in disguise, especially for Cheska to finally meet his real father before her wedding.

But as Cheska prepares for her big day, she finds out that her fiancé, Brent (Joross Gamboa) is cheating on her. Confused and devastated, Larry and Rigor compete to help and comfort “their” daughter.

Even Cheska is puzzled as to who she should follow—her father Larry, who has raised her since birth, or the person who claims to be her real father, Rigor?!?

Between the two “fathers”, who will get Cheska’s undivided attention and love? What is the grand plan of larry for seeking Rigor’s company? If Cheska’s wedding still pushes through, who will walk her down the aisle, Larry or Rigor?

The new season is led by Director Andoy Ranay together with a team of creative screenwriters headed by Jake Tordesillas. Round up the cast are Dextor Doria as Mamu, and Jacob Rica as Lyle.

The life of workaholic Miguel (Dennis Trillo) is going to be

turned upside down when his mischievous godson EJ (Kiko

Magundayao) comes to stay with him while his father is abroad.

Miguel and EJ go together like oil and water, and in a sudden

twist of fate EJ’s father dies while abroad, putting this

unlikely pair stuck together forever. Miguel is not happy about

becoming an instant father.

He decides to take EJ to an orphanage, but on their way there,

the argue-fest continues and they bump into none other than Santa

Claus, but neither of them even notice!

And you know, you better watch out, you better not cry, because

Santa Claus is comin’ to town!

Santa Claus isn’t too happy with the two and their bickering

ways, so he decides to surprise them with a gift they won’t

forget!

Their worlds are going to be turned inside out! The next day the

two wake to find they have switched bodies! How ornery Santa has

been!

Well, we just finished watching Rufa Mae Quinto fall in love with Akihiro, how sweet. Taping began today for the next series in the SRO Cinemaserye Presents saga. Oh, Geoff Eigenmann is coming back too, so a big yay for all you Geoff Eigenmann fans! I have don’t have a full cast list yet, but some of the characters you can look forward to are Geoff (yes that is the character name), Carla, Waray, Biday, Britney, and more. Keep an eye out for Carinderia Queen coming to you on GMA 7 after telebabad!

Coming up on SRO Cinemaserye Presents, Watch as Jennica Garcia and Sheena Halili join forces in this hilarious comedy stint reminiscent of the quirky ‘Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.’ Other celebs slated to star in this episode are: Mark Herras, Rainier Castillio, JayR, and John Lapuz.

Well, I was trying to release this a little closer to the air date, but since everyone else decided to do it early, I figured I would go ahead and release this now. BTW, I was at a taping the other day in Cubao and this show is going to be quite funny. I was watching a scene with BB Gandanghari being taped at the bar Palawan 2 and couldn’t help but laugh, laugh, laugh. BB Gandanghari and Iza Calzado are such sweet people and I enjoyed spending time with them and just talking about life!

Now for your synopsis…

The portrayal for the role of a transgender. His name is RJ (Paolo Ballesteros), the one and only son of his very strict father. RJ dreams of becoming a woman. When RJ’s father knows that he’s a homosexual, he beats him and asks him to leave their house. Dumb-founded RJ asks for the help of his “GAY” friends to stay in their house (Mama Frannie and Jessie). To survive, Mama Frannie (BB Gandanghari) helped RJ find work in JAPAN. After 7 fruitful years when RJ returns to Manila, Frannie and Jessie get surprised when they found out that RJ has under gone a sex-change operation in Japan, and RJ now is a grown full-fledge woman. His name now is…ROWENA JOY (Iza Calzado).

After his “best friend” Gino (Tj Trinidad) finds out that he is gay, he leaves and never wants to see him again. But, in sudden twist of fate RJ and Gino will cross each other’s path when Gino wants to get a haircut in the salon that Rowena Joy puts up. Gino falls in love with Rowena Joy, not knowing that the “GIRL” he’s in love with was his old best friend RJ. Rowena Joy finds out that Gino is a single father, and is having a problem raising his 7 year-old son that he thinks will grow up gay, because the boy is showing the signs of being gay at an early age. Rowena Joy will help Gino to understand and accept his son whatever gender the little boy prefers to be when he grows up. The two fall in love with each other so deeply. But, Rowena Joy is having a hard time telling Gino the reality of his true identity because of the fact that Rowena Joy is very much afraid of losing his dreamboy/bestfriend once again.

This Kapuso comedy-drama will premier on August 20 (Thursday), and is presented by SRO Cinemaserye, your Thursday nights will be more fun and exciting as you see a story about a person who’s only wish is acceptance and a longing for unconditional love.

Thursday, March 26, 2009, night one of the hit series Ganti! What a masterpiece, from the all star cast to the clean crisp look of something ready for the big screen. I have been behind the scenes and now, I am amazed to see this instant classic in its final form!

The look on Marvin Agustin and Maxene Magalona’s faces when they are caught by in each others arms by Sheryl Cruz give the idea of how dramatic and gripping this series promises to be.

I have to comment on the direction by Dominic Zapata, the camera work on this show rivals some that I have seen come out of Hollywood! I have to give major kudos to Executive Producer, Joseph Bulacan for pushing this gripping series to the top and not holding back on anything! I absolutely love it! Did you see those piranhas?!? Great effects!!!

Secret Secret: Joseph’s Vehicle made an appearance in the show!

I had the opportunity to spend some time with Joseph Bulacan over the weekend and we had a little chikka about the show. He has a creative mind that won’t stop! I love his work and hope to see more of it in the future! Maybe we will see a cameo of me in some of his future works, lol.

I feel sorry for anyone who missed the fantabulous masterpiece that is SRO Cinemaserye: Ganti!!!

The Ricky Show gives this 2 thumbs way up, we just wish this show was aired 5 nights a week and not on Thursday lang.
