Well, I was trying to release this a little closer to the air date, but since everyone else decided to do it early, I figured I would go ahead and release this now. BTW, I was at a taping the other day in Cubao and this show is going to be quite funny. I was watching a scene with BB Gandanghari being taped at the bar Palawan 2 and couldn’t help but laugh, laugh, laugh. BB Gandanghari and Iza Calzado are such sweet people and I enjoyed spending time with them and just talking about life!
Now for your synopsis…
The portrayal for the role of a transgender. His name is RJ (Paolo Ballesteros), the one and only son of his very strict father. RJ dreams of becoming a woman. When RJ’s father knows that he’s a homosexual, he beats him and asks him to leave their house. Dumb-founded RJ asks for the help of his “GAY” friends to stay in their house (Mama Frannie and Jessie). To survive, Mama Frannie (BB Gandanghari) helped RJ find work in JAPAN. After 7 fruitful years when RJ returns to Manila, Frannie and Jessie get surprised when they found out that RJ has under gone a sex-change operation in Japan, and RJ now is a grown full-fledge woman. His name now is…ROWENA JOY (Iza Calzado).
After his “best friend” Gino (Tj Trinidad) finds out that he is gay, he leaves and never wants to see him again. But, in sudden twist of fate RJ and Gino will cross each other’s path when Gino wants to get a haircut in the salon that Rowena Joy puts up. Gino falls in love with Rowena Joy, not knowing that the “GIRL” he’s in love with was his old best friend RJ. Rowena Joy finds out that Gino is a single father, and is having a problem raising his 7 year-old son that he thinks will grow up gay, because the boy is showing the signs of being gay at an early age. Rowena Joy will help Gino to understand and accept his son whatever gender the little boy prefers to be when he grows up. The two fall in love with each other so deeply. But, Rowena Joy is having a hard time telling Gino the reality of his true identity because of the fact that Rowena Joy is very much afraid of losing his dreamboy/bestfriend once again.
This Kapuso comedy-drama will premier on August 20 (Thursday), and is presented by SRO Cinemaserye, your Thursday nights will be more fun and exciting as you see a story about a person who’s only wish is acceptance and a longing for unconditional love.

In Rowena Joy, Paulo Ballesteros plays RJ, who dreams of becoming a woman. After getting booted from his home by his bigot father he enlists the help of his gay friends Mama Frannie (BB Gandanghari) and Jessie he goes on a journey and finds himself/herself as Rowena Joy (Iza Calzado).

I was invited to a wonderful and energetic party a few nights ago at a nice little club near Sta. Lucia. The party was a celebration for the birthday of Joseph Buncalan, the Executive producer of Totoy Bato, SRO Cinemaserye, and others. He is a really cool guy and I was glad to get invited! Below is a pic of me, Joseph, and Ricci Crisostomo. 
Later that night I had the chance to talk to Ara Mina, and asked if she was planning on opening her restaurant again in Marikina, to which she said she didn’t think so. After a little chatting it was time to say cheese!
I also made an ass out of myself and hit a beer with my elbow spilling it on the lovely Ms. Deborah Sun. I quickly apologized for my error and she was like no problem. I would have been mad as hell, but she was very kind about it. Later that night we were talking about random stuff and come to find out, I really like this lady. She is sweet and genuine, I ended up making a great new friend! Now for our photo op…
I have more pictures but they are still on the camera, I will try to post them later. All-in-all it was a wonderful night, and I had a great time hanging out with many Kapuso from GMA 7, thanks for a great night everyone!

Just got a quick tip that the next episode of SRO Cinemaserye will revolve around the life of Eva Castillo (played by Manilyn Reynes) the rival of Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez. Regine Velasquez will be playing a special part in this episode! Go Regine! By the way, great party you through the other night! Thanks for having us there! Cheers!

Harassment can make anyone feel uncomfortable, just ask Yasmien Kurdi. She has experienced another typical male who thinks he is God’s gifts to women making remarks, cat calls and rude gestures to her.
Hey Baron Geisler, how would your Australian girlfriend that you told me will be here soon react to this? I feel sorry that she has to return to you with your face plastered all over the news for this issue.
There is a point where enough is enough, and I know that you have been talked to about this on set already, yet you continued and now it is all over the news, come on, just admit you were wrong and apologize to the poor girl.
How would you like it if it was your daughter someone was treating like that or your girlfriend, walk in the other person’s shoes and put things in perspective?
You are not a horrible person, but the media is going to drag you through the mud. End it by issuing an apology, publically, and let this be a lesson learned, think about what you do before you act, you are not a child and your career depends on your image.
Hmph, maybe GMA should leave the ABS-CBN stars at ABS-CBN!
Anyway, be sure to watch SRO Cinemaserye – Suspetsa! on GMA 7 tomorrow night after GMA Telebabad! This one is even better than the first.

So who will be the talent in the next edition of SRO Cinemaserye? Well there are talks that it may be Dingdong Dantes and Jenalyn Mercado, but as of yet that is still unconfirmed.
Where is Marian? Will this be a Dingdong and Marian split, or will Dingdong also play in the next Darna series, featuring Marian Rivera as Darna / Narda. Maybe he will be the new Captain Barbell…
Anyway as soon I will have the new cast members for SRO and I will provide you with an episode synopsis as soon as I get my hands on it so stay tuned…
