Well, I was trying to release this a little closer to the air date, but since everyone else decided to do it early, I figured I would go ahead and release this now. BTW, I was at a taping the other day in Cubao and this show is going to be quite funny. I was watching a scene with BB Gandanghari being taped at the bar Palawan 2 and couldn’t help but laugh, laugh, laugh. BB Gandanghari and Iza Calzado are such sweet people and I enjoyed spending time with them and just talking about life!
Now for your synopsis…
The portrayal for the role of a transgender. His name is RJ (Paolo Ballesteros), the one and only son of his very strict father. RJ dreams of becoming a woman. When RJ’s father knows that he’s a homosexual, he beats him and asks him to leave their house. Dumb-founded RJ asks for the help of his “GAY” friends to stay in their house (Mama Frannie and Jessie). To survive, Mama Frannie (BB Gandanghari) helped RJ find work in JAPAN. After 7 fruitful years when RJ returns to Manila, Frannie and Jessie get surprised when they found out that RJ has under gone a sex-change operation in Japan, and RJ now is a grown full-fledge woman. His name now is…ROWENA JOY (Iza Calzado).
After his “best friend” Gino (Tj Trinidad) finds out that he is gay, he leaves and never wants to see him again. But, in sudden twist of fate RJ and Gino will cross each other’s path when Gino wants to get a haircut in the salon that Rowena Joy puts up. Gino falls in love with Rowena Joy, not knowing that the “GIRL” he’s in love with was his old best friend RJ. Rowena Joy finds out that Gino is a single father, and is having a problem raising his 7 year-old son that he thinks will grow up gay, because the boy is showing the signs of being gay at an early age. Rowena Joy will help Gino to understand and accept his son whatever gender the little boy prefers to be when he grows up. The two fall in love with each other so deeply. But, Rowena Joy is having a hard time telling Gino the reality of his true identity because of the fact that Rowena Joy is very much afraid of losing his dreamboy/bestfriend once again.
