American Idol has made some changes for this up coming 2009 season and one of them is adding Kara DioGuardi as the fourth judge! Kara Dioguardi is a British song writer and singer. Of course we will see the return of Paula Abdul, Randy Jackon, and Simon Cowell.
Some of the other changes that were made for the new season are giving more broadcast time to the popular Hollywood round, where hopeful contestants show off their skills, and they are bringing back the "wild card" round for a place in the coveted final 12!
DioGuardi says that the male contestants have an edge this year, bringing unique voices to this season of idol. She also says that there are at least 5 great singers that she knows of already!
